교독문 - 제 27번 시편 51편 (Psalm 51) (한글, 영어)

하나님이여 주의 인자를 따라 내게 은혜를 베푸시며 
Have mercy on me, O God, according to your unfailing love;

주의 많은 긍휼을 따라 내 죄악을 지워 주소서
according to your great compassion blot out my transgressions.

나의 죄악을 말갛게 씻으시며 나의 죄를 깨끗이 제하소서 
Wash away all my iniquity and cleanse me from my sin.

무릇 나는 내 죄과를 아오니 내 죄가 항상 내 앞에 있나이다
For I know my transgressions, and my sin is always before me.

내가 주께만 범죄하여 주의 목전에 악을 행하였사오니 
Against you, you only, have I sinned and done what is evil in your sight;

주께서 말씀하실 때에 의로우시다 하고 주께서 심판하실 때에 순전하시다 하리이다
so you are right in your verdict and justified when you judge.

내가 죄악 중에서 출생하였음이여 
Surely I was sinful at birth,

어머니가 죄 중에서 나를 잉태하였나이다
sinful from the time my mother conceived me.

우슬초로 나를 정결하게 하소서 내가 정하리이다 
Cleanse me with hyssop, and I will be clean;

나의 죄를 씻어 주소서 내가 눈보다 희리이다
wash me, and I will be whiter than snow.

하나님이여 내 속에 정한 마음을 창조하시고 
Create in me a pure heart, O God,

내 안에 정직한 영을 새롭게 하소서
and renew a steadfast spirit within me.
