νμ΄μ λ§μμ΄ κ³μλλΌ μ΄ λ§μμ΄ νλλκ³Ό ν¨κ» κ³μ ¨μΌλ
In the beginning was the Word, and the Word was with God,
μ΄ λ§μμ 곧 νλλμ΄μλλΌ
and the Word was God.
κ·Έμ νμ΄μ νλλκ³Ό ν¨κ» κ³μ ¨κ³ λ§λ¬Όμ΄ κ·Έλ‘ λ§λ―Έμμ μ§μ λ° λμμΌλ
He was with God in the beginning. Through him all things were made;
μ§μ κ²μ΄ νλλ κ·Έκ° μμ΄λ λ κ²μ΄ μλλλΌ
without him nothing was made that has been made.
κ·Έ μμ μλͺ μ΄ μμμΌλ μ΄ μλͺ μ μ¬λλ€μ λΉμ΄λΌ
In him was life, and that life was the light of all mankind.
λΉμ΄ μ΄λ μ λΉμΉλ μ΄λ μ΄ κΉ¨λ«μ§ λͺ»νλλΌ
The light shines in the darkness, and the darkness has not overcome it.
μ°Έ λΉ κ³§ μΈμμ μμ κ° μ¬λμκ² λΉμΆλ λΉμ΄ μμλλ
The true light that gives light to everyone was coming into the world.
κ·Έκ° μΈμμ κ³μ ¨μΌλ©° μΈμμ κ·Έλ‘ λ§λ―Έμμ μ§μ λ° λμμΌλ
He was in the world, and though the world was made through him,
μΈμμ΄ κ·Έλ₯Ό μμ§ λͺ»νμκ³ μκΈ° λ μ μ€λ§€ μκΈ° λ°±μ±μ΄ μμ νμ§ μλνμμΌλ
the world did not recognize him. He came to that which was his own, but his own did not receive him.
μμ νλ μ 곧 κ·Έ μ΄λ¦μ λ―Ώλ μλ€μκ²λ νλλμ μλ κ° λλ κΆμΈλ₯Ό μ£Όμ ¨μΌλ
Yet to all who did receive him, to those who believed in his name, he gave the right to become children of God—
μ΄λ νν΅μΌλ‘λ μ‘μ μΌλ‘λ μ¬λμ λ»μΌλ‘ λμ§ μλνκ³
children born not of natural descent, nor of human decision or a husband’s will,
μ€μ§ νλλκ»λ‘λΆν° λ μλ€μ΄λλΌ
but born of God.
λ§μμ΄ μ‘μ μ΄ λμ΄ μ°λ¦¬ κ°μ΄λ° κ±°νμ맀 μ°λ¦¬κ° κ·Έμ μκ΄μ 보λ
The Word became flesh and made his dwelling among us. We have seen his glory,
μλ²μ§μ λ μμμ μκ΄μ΄μ μνμ μ§λ¦¬κ° μΆ©λ§νλλΌ
